HOLKER SPRINGFEST, SAT 2nd & SUN 3rd MAY
Holker Hall & Gardens launch SpringFest! A newish event, started last year, set to celebrate all things gardening and outdoor living. Delve into the design of Holker’s own garden, hear from the Holker Garden Team as well as various gardening and outdoor living experts throughout the day. Discover a day of inspiring talks, advice, demonstrations and live music, topped off with a fantastic range of shopping opportunities, street food and fizz.
Hopefully as successful as their Winter Market but with a focus on gardening. A lovely outdoor event to kick off the season.
NORTHUMBERLAND COUNTY SHOW, SAT 23rd MAY
A busy day with plenty to see & do & not that far away really.
COUNTRYFEST, SAT 30th & SUN 31st MAY
Not done this event for years but there should be plenty on offer & lots of tasty food!
CUMBERLAND SHOW, SAT 6th JUNE
Agricultural competitions, vintage vehicles, entertainments, crafts & food.
PENRITH SHOW, SAT 18th JULY
A busy show with plenty to see.
CONISTON COUNTRY FAIR, CANCELLED
Unfortunately, this year the Fair has been cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances.
A lovely family show that is held next to the lake at Coniston Hall with fell races, hound races competitions & attractions so it should be a great day out.
COCKERMOUTH SHOW, SAT 1st AUGUST
A popular day out.
CARTMEL SHOW, WED 5th AUGUST
A lovely occasion on the race course with plenty of visitors. Bring cash as the mobile service for card machines is sometimes very poor.
GRASMERE SPORTS, SUN 30th AUGUST
A great show with plenty of races to watch & traditional Cumbrian wrestling.
KESWICK SHOW, MON 31st AUGUST
Plenty to see & well organised - normally a shuttle service runs from Keswick.
WESTMORLAND SHOW, WED 9th - THUR 10th SEPTEMBER
A huge show with loads to see & plenty going on. Last years 2 day format worked so well that this years event will also be run over 2 days. Best to bring cash as the mobile service for card machines can be difficult. There is a mobile bank on site but they usually charge for the cash machine.
HOLKER WINTER MARKET, FRI, SAT & SUN 6th - 8th NOVEMBER (not confirmed)
Fantastic opportunity for Christmas shopping with a lovely atmosphere & entertainments including a Fire Show at 6pm on Friday night. It is a lovely event with lots of choice including a good selection of crafts & local produce.
HAWKSHEAD CHRISTMAS FAIR, SAT 5th - SUN 6th DECEMBER (not confirmed)
A fabulous free weekend event brimming with festive cheer throughout the historic streets of Hawkshead village. You will find both indoor and outdoor markets with over 50 stalls selling food, crafts, and other gifts. There is also a lantern parade, live music, and street performance from circus acts and other artists. Children can meet Santa in his grotto, whilst grown-ups can indulge in the mini beer festival that takes place in village’s pubs.
